Spring has sprung, though the day we choose to do blog pics wasn’t the warmest. That’s why ripped knees are ideal for spring and also happen to be the item that I’m daring to wear three ways this month, though I’ve owned these for a few months now and you may even recognize them from past post (see looks: here and here).

What can I say, I get something and I wear it and love it. So I am showing these pants some extra attention this month, mainly because they’ve been my go-to bottoms lately. The rips show a little skin and add edge, while the color keep them feeling lighter than black and still super neutral.

{ Style Tips }

1. Try a subtle color under crochet. I am so glad I tried this. I love crochet and tend to match this top with a nude tank top or wear it over my bikini to the beach (feels like an eternity ago). Layered over this LOGO Layers tank in Sage was just what it needed to feel fresh. I just love how these tones look together.

2. Layer different lengths.  It’s easy to get stuck in a style rut of always pairing the same pieces together. A long top often looks fabulous with a shorter blazer so why not try a shorter crochet top with a longer layer underneath? I’m glad I did and have also worn this top combo with leggings. I even went up a size in the tank top so it hits me a little longer.

3. Style new neutrals together. When it comes to wearing earthy tones, anything goes. Wear together or separate. This whole outfit is made up of neutrals and still feels fresh and springy.

Spring Shopping Tip:  Only have enough for a few new things? Extend the life of your current wardrobe and shop for interesting neutrals. They’ll go with everything so will freshen up old favorites.

DARE TO WEAR } a blog series dedicated to “dare to wear” the same thing three weeks in a row. If you’re gonna buy it, you better be able to wear it at least three ways, right? Each month a new item is featured and will be styled three ways over three weeks. Photos by Audrey Gallagher.
