Mock-necks, the turtle-neck’s cool cousin, has had a special place in my heart for a couple years now. I know, that’s not all that long. Before then, I rarely really gave this neckline a chance. It just never grabbed me. Then I got this cool tank-top dress from Smak Parlour and my tune totally changed. I’ve worn this baby a ton throughout the year and it’s totally opened me up to the world of mock necks. Here are just five of the times that it was captured on the blog.

{ Style Tip } Mock necklines heart statement necklaces. The fabric is a canvas that’s just begging to show off some jewelry.

{ Style Tip } Tuck it in. Turn your tank dress into a top by simply tucking it into your skirt.
{ Style Tip } Create a waist by tying a sweater around it. Ta-da, instant hourglass.
{ Style Tip } Add warmth to your legs when in a short, tee-shirt dress by adding over-the-knee boots. Not only do they keep you feeling far warmer than hosiery, they also turn your dress into a whole different look.
{ Style Tip } Mix neutrals for an anytime outfit. I’ve rocked this outfit more than once and can go from work meetings to running errands to dinner or drinks with friends.
