Okay, I know I can’t complain much, but this July heat is absolutely unbearable. I’ve been really excited for these warmer months and now that they’re here, it’s getting a little too much. Sometimes I don’t even feel like getting out of the house. This heat is making me feel lazy, unproductive…and kind of sticky (yuck).

Do you feel the same way? Here are { Five Things Wellness } to help you cool down, unwind, and beat the heat.

{ Five Things Wellness } Iced Tea Cocktails To Cool You Down

1. { DAVIDsTEA: The Cocktail Collection }

Honestly, I love a good cocktail but many are loaded with sugar. I’ve been trying out a few DIY drinks to find healthier options. When I came across DAVIDsTEA Cocktail Collection I went nuts. Just brew, chill and add a splash of the recommended alcohol. This limited-edition collection comes with three delectable flavors — Ruby Red, Sangria, and Raspberry Mojito. VERY refreshing. My favorite is Ruby Red — mix in some Prosecco for a new take on the mimosa. The teas are even pretty delish sans alcohol. Each tin makes about seven cups of hot tea or about four cups of iced tea, and yes, the cute paper coasters are included!

2. { Liquido’s ‘I Wear’ Collection }

Liquido’s new limited-edition collection called I Wear includes four printed tanks and seven patterned leggings. Try out the leggings (pictured is print called peacock lyrics). Made LYCRA fiber technology, the fabric is buttery soft and has a good stretch. The best part? They provide 50+ UVA/UVB protection — soooo great for outdoor yoga or if you just enjoy being active outdoors.

3. { DIY Shea Butter + Sea Salt Scrub }

I recently created my own body scrub inspired by warm weather and the beach. This DIY body scrub calls for three natural ingredients — shea butter, sea salt, and coconut oil. I used Out of Africa’s Pure Lavender Shea Butter. It has a light aroma and is enriched with antioxidants and Vitamins A, E, and D. Shea butter is also packed with beauty benefits, such as helping prevent and reduce stretch marks, maintaining skin elasticity and tone, and softening fine lines, wrinkles, and scars.

4. { Pax Tandon’s Mindfulness Meetups }

Meditation holds many wellness benefits including reducing stress, encouraging a healthy lifestyle, and increasing happiness. I don’t know about you, but I’m all for every single one of those. Pax Tandon is a positive psychology expert who hosts Mindfulness Meetups every month. I met her at her June event at Saks Fifth Avenue, where she shared her expertise and guided us through meditation and gratitude practices. Everyone was surrounded with good vibes and after the meetup I felt so good and so relaxed. Interested in attending? She hosts events on Google Hangout so you can join in from anywhere. Stay updated on her website for upcoming Mindfulness Meetups.

5. { Add Turmeric To Your Spice Rack }

It sounds a little backwards to add spice when it’s hot, but I have a current obsession with turmeric and for good reason. This spice is a superfood made from the root of the curcuma longa plant and has an antioxidant called curcumin. Tumeric offers many health benefits — it’s anti-aging, anti-inflammatory, can aid digestion, reduce bloating, and promote calmness. Add a spoonful to smoothies, juices, savory dishes, or even desserts.

Love these great tips! Turmeric powder is great for smoothies… it’s also great when it’s fresh 🙂
