Two things I wear all winter: beanies + scarves. They are pretty much a must for my daily life and often stay on after my coat comes off.
Beanies truly are the cure to a bad hair day and cold ear, and scarves basically make me feel like I’m wrapped up in my own personal blanket. This Nich Boutique scarf happens to have pockets. It blew my mind and has been perfect for stashing my sunnies. I’ve been stowing my phone in the scarf too and actually panicked a few times thinking I lost my phone, before remembering the pockets. I do love pockets. They’re a weakness of mine.
{ Style Tips }
1. Make outerwear part of the outfit. Yes these pics are outside, but I often keep my scarf or beanie or both on after my coat comes off.
2. Pair a loose-fitting top with skinny bottoms. Dressing is really all about playing with proportions. Loose clothes all over can drown you and hide your shape, so an over-sized flannel looks great with more fitted pieces. Leggings, skinny jeans, or ponte pants are all great options.
3. Roll and cuff above the boots. As you can see from this previous outfit post, sometimes I like to wear these boots with the pants tucked. This was not one of those times. instead I cuffed these comfy pants to sit on top if the boots. It’s these little styling touches that make an outfit a whole look so play around with your clothes to switch up the vibe.
