My lovely blog photog Audrey  just got a new camera and we couldn’t be more excited! The pics for April are our best yet and I cannot wait for you to see more thoughout the month! It’s so funny to think that before I met Audrey randomly at Starbucks I didn’t really do outfit posts and now it’s one of my favorite features to work on.

It feels really organic to show different ways to style the same piece. When I get a new piece I LOVE it, like really LOVE it. Whether it’s a jean jacket, vest, flannel, whatever — when it’s my new addition it’s all I feel like wearing and this month the item in regular rotation is this short-sleeve open cardigan ($44, Nordstrom). It’s got me feeling springy and will also transition well into summer with daisy dukes or even as a poolside coverup.

{ Style Tips }

1. Go tonal. There’s some purple going on. Different shades of the color look so chic together. It’s a great way to wear lots of  color without it overpowering you.

2. Mix in a print. The scarf really made this look a “look”. It just jazzes it up. Scarves worn long lie this also have  a way of elongating the frame. JUst sayin’.

3. Wear legging under boyfriend jeans. Loose-fitting denim touching your leg as the wind blows, buurrrrr. I rocked leggings underneath and stayed so much warmer and more comfortable.

4. Cuff the jeans. I prefer it to look a little sloppy and lived in, but neat is cool too. It’s a tip I say often, likely since I’m short and am regularly rolling my bottoms for style and function.
