It’s already week three of maxi-skirt styling and I’m even more in love with this skirt. In fact, maxis in general are becoming more near and dear to my heart. They’re far more comfortable than jeans and look more polished too. I’m sensing a maxi-skirt roundup post coming up.

I wore this outfit yesterday and  it got me through answering emails, blogging, a mini photoshoot, and a styling session — comfy enough for a busy day and stylish enough that I look the part.

{Style Tips}

1. Motorcycle jackets add edge to any outfit. It’s the off-duty blazer.

2. Not sure how to wear vintage jewelry? Layer with your everyday pieces, such as a watch and your other go-to layering bracelets. Mixing it in with your existing style only makes it more you-nique.

3. Mix warm and cool tones. The skirt, top, and bag are on the warm side, as is the gold bracelet. The jacket, boots, and vintage statement necklace would be considered cool. They work together because they are intermixed and create balance. This tip works for jewelry, clothing, even home decor.

{Dare To Wear} a blog series dedicated to “dare to wear” the same thing three weeks in a row. If you’re gonna buy it, you better be able to wear it at least three ways, right? Each month a new item is featured and will be styled three ways over three weeks. Photos by Audrey Gallagher.
