We should all play dress up more often. Push yourself to experiment with what’s already in your closet and you may be surprised with all the awesome ideas you come up with. You’ll also then have a better idea of what key pieces are missing so that your next shopping trip won’t be in vain.
Coming up with outfits for TV segments, clients, and these Dare to Wear posts really break me out of my fashion box.
I have been having so much fun doing blog shoots lately. It’s helping me expand what my wardrobe can do and if you take a look at past posts, you’ll see that the style of the shoots has been evolving too. This month we shot on a deck and last month the outside of a pretty apartment complex on the Main Line acted as the backdrop. Hmm. I wonder what the next shoot will bring.
You may remember that this month’s Dare to Wear item is the charity tank top. And you may remember that proceeds benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Well, my fundraising timeline has come to an end and the money raised goes to a good cause, but there are still a few shirts floating around in case you REALLY, REALLY want one. Here’s a list of where to look.
Style Tips
Tuck. For these pants you either need a crop top or to tuck your shirt in.
Messy hair, embrace it. Perfection is overrated. I don’t like to look like a hot mess, but I’m cool with elegantly disheveled.
Metallic liner, love it. It’s so fresh for summer and easy to apply. The one I used is Physician’s Formula.
Don’t over think it. There’s no pink on my pants and the shoes can be a little club, but somehow it works. Guess and test. I say this all the time, but it really does help with creating unique and special outfits.
