When I attempt a DIY it’s gotta be an easy one. Too many steps or lots of directions mean I won’t be participating. But when this shirt was headed to the trash (sleeves looked gross) I had to save it and thought to try a little tailoring. So I hacked into my boyfriend’s old tee to first shorten, then chop the sleeves. I tried it back on and knew the neckline needed a little work so I cut a V shape and slipped it back on.
This shirt may be a little revealing so wear with a pretty bra, over a bikini, or with a vest over it, like I did for a recent Dare to Wear post.

The top really looks nice. I love crop tops, and the idea of up-cycling. I’ve tried several times to cut up my old t-shirts into something fanciful and have always ended up with something messy, but I think it’s because my scissors is really blunt. I guess I will try again when I get a sharp one. Again the cut cropped top looks nice.
