{ Emmy Style } Fashion Favorites + Why I Really Watch Award Shows

I love watching award shows, and not just for the fashion (though I thoroughly enjoy that too!). What really gets me going is seeing people so humbled and grateful to achieve their dreams and be recognized for their work. It’s moving. The acceptance speeches and the energy of the night is unlike anything else. It truly leaves me feeling inspired —  inspired to dream and work hard towards my passions.

Passion speaks louder than anything else. It’s what fuels change, art, anything really. I’m totally that person that cries when watching the winners accept their awards. I can’t help it, I genuinely get really happy for them!

Of course while watching I also swooned over some seriously-stunning styles (how could I not?!). Here are my five favorite looks from the 2015 Emmy Awards.

Hello Emma Roberts! This girl is an A-list lady and she dresses like it. The plunging neckline, the old-Hollywood hair curl, and the way she played off Jamie Lee Curtis — all so fabulous. It’s actually really making me want to tune into “Scream Queens”. { image via }

O-M-G, get a load of the details! The “Scandal” star wows on her the show in an AMAZING coat collection. On the red carpet she brings it in an extravagantly embellished, tea-length dress with a little slit. I love this style on her petite frame.  Oh, and was just at NYFW, since from the Spring 2015 collection. She is a trend setter! { image via }

The see-through details and her bob feel so very sexy. What’s was better than her outfit? Her energy! Taraji P. Henson seemed just so genuinely happy to be there and for the winners. She is certainly no sore loser. She is a fan favorite on pretty much the top TV show, so she’s got a whole lot to be happy about… and her positive energy is totally contagious! { image via }
