Are you ready to make a power move? This is the age of the girl boss, where females are making more strides in the workplace, forging their own way and empowering each other while doing so. You can even start a blog and create your own career path (I type that from experience). It’s a really exciting time to be a girl.
Another exciting thing, a few of my long-time favorite beauty brands, Olay, COVERGIRL and Pantene are teaming up with Levo League. Levo has been on my radar for a while, as it’s an organization that’s all about empowering young women to dream big and work hard towards their career ambitions and is a resource with style, beauty and career advice to help women be the best version of themselves.
Ambition and beauty go well together. It’s not about being vain, but about feeling good about yourself. One of my close friends played professional basketball overseas and she’d always give herself a little pampering before a game and would say just that, “when you look good, you feel good.” And when you’re confident and aren’t busy worrying about your appearance then you can really focus and achieve your goals.
One of my favorite parts of being a stylist and blogger is that I get to provide women with tools to help them look and feel their best. I love seeing a client light up after trying on an outfit. When you’ve got confidence you can conquer the world. The right lotion for your skin can make you feel more comfortable in that skin or maybe a little eyeliner or lipstick is what makes you feel your most vibrant and fabulous.
Don’t just take my word on it. Here are a couple tips from a two powerful ladies that I couldn’t agree with more on how to look and feel fab while making a power move.
Strike a balance between professional and playful: The great thing about your hair is its ability to instantly transform your appearance and reflect your personality. Your hairstyle should be fun but also appropriate for your job, especially if your industry is more conservative. The lob is a perfect workplace hairstyle and when cared for with Pantene Smooth & Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner, your locks will stay frizz-free for a trendy yet polished and professional look. – Ali Fedotowsky, TV personality and spokesperson
It’s OK to pamper yourself: We all work so hard for our careers, so it’s important to remember to pamper ourselves and recharge ourselves for that next challenge. Personally, I like to give myself a little at-home-spa time with a “me” routine that starts with Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream. The anti-aging formula fights the look of tired skin that happens after a long week of meetings, interviews and events. – Irma Martinez, celebrity fashion stylist & founder of Trendy Inc.
I know I said it above, but I have to say it again, I couldn’t agree more. I am so tempted to cut my hair into a lob and that shampoo & conditioner makes my hair so soft, sleek, and shiny. Mascara, eye liner, and a bright lip like COVERGIRL’s Outlast Longwear LipColor in Red Rouge are my go-to’s for events and TV appearances, and get me feeling ready for the biggest stage, life.
