Summer’s not over yet, and even if it was, I can’t think of a reason why not to wear sunscreen. I’m crazy for sunscreen and a firm believer of wearing it every single day, rain or shine.
Not all sunscreens are created equally. I often get stuck staring at the sunscreen aisle forever not knowing what to get. The SFP options seem endless. That’s why each year the Environmental Working Group creates a sunscreen guide and publishes a 2015 Sunscreen Hall of Shame. Some may even do more harm than good.
Take the guesswork out of protecting yourself from the sun. If you’re in search for a go-to sunscreen, check out these five beauty buys that block the sun.
1. Sunscreen Mist
It makes me super excited because it’s infused with antioxidants. This sunscreen is also moisturizing, not oily. Plus the added Vitamin C refines skin texture too.

2. Protect Your Pout
Sometimes we forget about applying sunscreen to certain body parts…like our lips! This Nivea lip balm protects you from UVA/UVB sun exposure and it’s enriched with shea butter and Vitamin E.
{ Nivea A Kiss of Protection Sun Protection Lip Care – SPF 30, $2.47 }
3. Sporty SPF
Juice Beauty Sport Moisturizer was made for those with active lifestyles and are looking for hydration and sun protection. It’s water-resistant, has vitamins C and E, and absorbs quickly. The ingredients are really good too — it has organic coconut, aloe, and jojoba to provide antioxidant-rich hydration.
{ Juice Beauty Sport Moisturizer – SPF 30, $16.00 }
4. SPF-Packed Finishing Powder
I’m obsessed with Bare Minerals! I’ve been wearing their products for years. Mineral veil acts as a finishing powder. This perfect last step to your routine include a version that’s packed with the power of SPF 25 to protect skin from UVA/UVB rays. I don’t use mineral veil as my main sunscreen— I just use it when I’m out all day and need to touch up my makeup.
{ Bare Minerals Mineral Veil – SPF 25, $21.00 }
5. Sunscreen Stick
So easy to apply, this sunscreen stick is good for your face, ears, and nose. It’s travel sized, so you can just toss it in your bag and apply whenever you need to. It’s unscented, plant and mineral-based, non-greasy, hypoallergenic, and has organic ingredients. Now, doesn’t this sound like such a healthy sunscreen?
{ The Honest Company Sunscreen Stick – SPF 25, $9.95 }
