You probably recognize my outfit from the post Mackenzie wrote the other day. That’s because this outfit post is showcasing what I wore to host Headhouse Salon’s Summer Style Event.
I don’t do outfit posts often, as I prefer to inform and save my outfits for Instagram., but this outfit …it just feels so me and my blurry Instagram pic just didn’t show it off enough. So here I am posing with the lovely Chaucee of Streets & Stripes.
And it started with a fishtail, a hot day, and the challenge to find a stylish/slightly professional outfit. When you’re hosting something fashionable, you’ve gotta look the part. The event called for a few select bloggers to come in and get a private tour of the salon while sampling the summer’s hottest trends in hair. I knew I had to bring it in the style sense, as the guest list was extra fashionable.
So I opted for the oh-so-popular black & white trend paired with work-appropriate shorts in ikat. The salon took care of the rest. Jade is one of the owners and she gave me a bright lip and cat eye to really pop. Do you love it?
In addition to planning and hosting Headhouse’s first event, I also modeled one of the top hair trends for summer – the fishtail. Meighan is one of the three owners and she’s also their braid queen so she styled me and explained the look to the bloggers.
So did you like my outfit?
