It’s Lara from The Glossarie and I’m so excited to be shedding a little beauty light on to the Sale-Rack Skinny. Beauty products can be pricey and I know firsthand how hard it can be to find room in your budget to keep it pretty.  A few little tricks that I’ve mastered help to keep things within reason, without having to sacrifice your favorite products.

New beauty flash sale site Coterie has entered the scene with a bang! They’ve been featuring great brands like Butter London, MOR, and Kevin Aucoin at a big discount. Be sure to subscribe to their emails and never miss another beauty steal. I’ve also just been turned on to another flash sale beauty site called Cut & Blow, which looks amazing.

Just like your favorite fashion brands, the beauty companies all operate sale sections of their respective sites. I frequently click around the sale sections on Sephora, Ulta and Stila. A couple of lesser-known outlets are ASOS and Urban Outfitters (mixed in with accessories).

In person, I am queen of the CVS Extra Care Beauty Club. I milk those benefits for all that they’re worth and I always use my Extra Bucks and weekly email coupons to snag drugstore favorites from the mass brands. It’s also great for stocking up on beauty basics like Q tips, Vaseline, and nail polish remover.

Finally, if you’re a true beauty addict, you should make friends with the Travel Size section at Sephora. Some may call it the impulse buy section near the register, where everything is priced and sized on a smaller scale, but to me that’s where some of my best beauty discoveries happen! You can pick up two or three mascaras for the price of one full size and really play with trends that you might otherwise not invest in.

So there you have it, a few of my tricks and tips for keeping your beauty buys within budget! If you like what you see comment below or tweet this post using the hashtags #salerackskinny or #srs.
