Media Alert! Spanx is in the building! In addition to running Trend Hungry, I’m also Simon Mall’s King Of Prussia Style Setter and run a blog highlighting trends and fun events at the King of Prussia Mall. Last Friday morning, the mall was busy with excitement and anticipation for Sara Blakley’s ribbon cutting (well tight cutting) at her grand opening of Spanx in King of Prussia.
Spanx ambassadors worked the crowd in cute tutus with leggings while passing out gift vouchers to excited guests. Good Morning America was there to grab coverage ( my Philly FABB co-founder did a before and after shot for the show with Blakely fitting her in the Bra-llelujah!) and yours truly was the first to ask a question to Spanx founder Sara Blakely! I wasn’t only excited because Spanx is a stylist essential (everything looks better with Spanx), but because Blakely is an entrepreneur that made her success without a big budget. She believed in her product, kept costs down, and mixed her skills and passion and perseverance to make she shape-wear empire! Check out what she had to say!
The store is amazing! It’s got a fortune teller machine with cute little saucy Spanx fortunes and a very knowledgeable staff ready to make you look your very best with stellar support. They’ve got so many cool products I didn’t even know Spanx made -shape wear leggings and reversible tights – want/need both! A lot happened.
