Beauty Week: How To Wear Blue Eyeshadow (Giveaway From The Body Shop!!!)

I’m all about color and lately the new hot hue for your eyes is blue. I know, it’s an intimidating color to wear, although Rihanna, Selena Gomez, and Emma Stone make it look flawless.

Today, my friend & makeup artist Jackie Johnson (we met when she did my makeup for a TV segment!) is here to guide us through rocking the blue hue with ease. The pictures are me following along to her expert guidance. Trust me – you’re about to get obsessed!  – Jessie

As a makeup artist for over 10 years I’ve learned many unique ways of applying makeup. I started at Nordstrom years ago where I learned my skills working for lines such as Bobbi Brown,Clinique, and Lancôme.

Now that I own my own company, Bella by Jackie, I teach women how to accentuate their own beauty.  After talking with many of my clients most woman want to keep makeup simple and fun!

Use the bright blue (our pick: The Body Shop’s Colour Crush in Something Blue, $10) as a pop of color on your lid for a fun spring look during the day with a bright top or more bold at night. Always remember to keep the rest of your makeup balanced.  Use the Champagne shade (Colour Crush in Golden Girl, $10) for a more blended look. Use the Champagne color as a highlighter on the lid or under your brow bone. Have fun with color and makeup! Experiment, just like you would with fashion!

 5. Curl and coat lashes with black mascara. We used Big & Curvy from The Body Shop, $18.
