Working on blog posts sure does help me in the outfit department. This Dare To Wear blog series challenges me to remix my style pairings and create more looks. The result, more outfit ideas at my fingertips for those busy days that leave little time for picking the perfect ensemble.
You may notice that this jumpsuit is Lilly Pulitzer for Target. I stumbled upon it a few weeks after the collection old out when I was visiting Target for organic chips and salsa (the pineapple salsa is SO good!). The jumpsuit fit and came home with me. Since then I’ve worn it to a luncheon, TV segment, and hanging around. I think with the vest is how I like it best.
{ Style Tips }
1. Break up a bold print with a vest. I love this trick. A vest mellows the look and denim adds a casual feel to a jumpsuit that could come off as a little dressy.
2. I said it in last week’s outfit post and I’ll say it again, cognac shoes go with everything. The pair I’m wearing add height without feeling formal.
3. Do your hair and go light on the makeup. I’m usually super lazy when it comes to styling my hair and reserve my curling wand for on-camera work and events. I conveniently had a hair appointment at Andre Richard Salon before meeting up with my photog. The hair balanced out the super-subtle makeup, which I opted for due to the heat and bold print.
4. Dainty jewelry looks lovely layered. The compass necklace paired with an arrow necklace in different shades of gold have been hanging around my neck a lot. It’s subtle and goes great with various bracelets and even ear climbers — so obsessed with ear climbers, cuffs, and double-sided earrings right now!
