I absolutely love this time of year. After a brisk winter the warmer weather is oh-so appreciated.

This season I get the urge to break out both the light and bright hues. I don’t want to feel too summery, as there’s still a likely chance for a chilly weather change.  It’s not consistently warm just yet, so layers are your friend — I know they are definitely mine!

I think I’ll keep this look on file for coffee dates, running errands, and general life living.

1. Try a short-sleeve sweater over a longer shirt. Cuff the sleeves of the longer shirt so that they’re rolled up to just under the sweater. You may like it!

2. Mix darks and lights. It’s a great way to create balance for these transition seasons. The white jeans and lilac sweater feel springy, while the dark chambray and boots make it still feel appropriate for these finicky forecasts.

3. Scrunch up your long jeans. I often tuck, roll, or get a hem. This pair has just a little extra length and I love scrunching up the bottoms to stack on top of the booties. A little messy looks lived in and loved, not sloppy.
