Jessie and I are going to be taking over eachother’s blogs a few times over the next couple of weeks to share with you our must-haves for this summer’s essentials. My first summer purchase is always one or two (or five) new bathing suits, so we thought we would start there.

The trend that I can’t wait to get my hands on this summer is a retro-styled bathingsuit. Just like cat eye sunglasses, shift dresses, and mod prints, fifty’s Americana inspired fashion has re-emerged this spring and summer.

If you haven’t discovered it yet, Asos is the new place to do your swimwear shopping this year. They have about eighty different retro style bathingsuit’s to chose from, but I especially love this one for it’s sweetheart neckline, polka dot print, and bows. Even though you have to purchase the top and bottom seperately, it’s still all together under fifty dollars!

If you are looking to save, just purchase this bottom and pair it with any white, navy, or red top to achieve the retro americana look for less.
