It’s the end of the first installment of Dare to Wear, the new blog series where we dare to wear the same piece three weeks in a row! Over the last three weeks I’ve taken my hot-pink pants in three different style directions – preppy, business chic, and now a look perhaps too haute for a hike?
This shade certainly will not blend in outdoors and this outfit isn’t really for hiking. It’s for looking fabulous this fall – isn’t that enough?
Make a bright shade more fall friendly by styling with more subdued shades – think oatmeal, light gray, camel, and olive. Swap out the heeled booties for something more comfortable and rocky-path friendly if you’re looking to take a stroll in the woods.
For this look we paired the hot-pink jeans with an army-green jacket over an oatmeal-colored sweater. The hair braid tied with a ribbon hair tie acts as added accessory.

Special thanks to Kohl’s for providing the clothes and to Audrey Gallagher for the beautiful photos. Check back next week for look three.
