Who doesn’t love spring? It gives us all a reason to show a little more skin and inspires us to experiment with colors in our makeup and wardrobe. An essential part of any Trend Hungry girl’s arsenal is the right lip shade or gloss. We want your lips to be flawless for your “pouty lip,” Instagram, Facebook and Twitter selfies. One thing’s for sure, dry or colorless lips are always out of season. I’ve pulled together a few of my favorites that will give your lips a youthful and alluring look but won’t break your pocketbook.
1. Maybelline Baby Lips in Pink Punch
This lip gloss smells fantastic! It literally smells like your favorite fruit punch and moisturizes like nobody’s business. The sheerness of the color is ideal for everyday wear, plus it gives lips a natural sheen and healthy pink tint.
2. Smith’s Strawberry Lip Balm
This is definitely one of my favorite lip balms that provide a hint of pink color. I love the old school tin design and the yummy strawberry scent. It’s actually time to restock my tin because I have like 5 swipes left, tops! It glides on like a dream and provides lasting, fruity moisture. This trend has been spotted on Selena Gomez, Nicole Richie, and Thandie Newton to name a few.
3. Citrusy Orange
This creamy lip shade is excellent for making a statement. Reviewers dished about how this lipstick “feels like silk” and is highly pigmented. A beautiful color with long lasting wear throughout a busy day gets manicured thumbs up from us!
4. Rouge Dior in Andalouse
This hue is truly an orange lipstick, straight, with no chaser! I love the bright orange hue and how it can be paired with a variety of ensembles. I’m seeing florals in my crystal ball, it’s getting clearer now. Yes, yes, floral skirts, leggings or tops (choose one only) and even black and white mod or geometrical prints will make this rouge sing. Heidi Klum, Solange Knowles and Kourtney Kardashian seem to love it!
5. Ruby Red’s
Nars Lipstick in Joyous Red is equal parts red and dangerous! Smooth application and long wear make it a crowd favorite. Celebs like Beyoncé, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to celebs spotted with red pouts. We just love red, do you?
Red is super-hot! You can’t turn on the TV or peruse the interwebs without seeing celebs and bloggers alike sporting this trend! There’s definitely a red out there for everyone.
