Woo-hoo! Tomorrow is the big day! Feast on your favorite Thanksgiving foods and don’t worry about a bit of a belly bump. It’s one of the few days a year where you’re encouraged to gorge yourself, and we’ve got your outfit covered. The goal is to be comfortable (without the urge to unbutton your pants) yet stylish, seeing as you’ll be seeing family that you may not see all that often. Plus family loves to take photos, so your looks has to be camera ready.
1. Leggings. Stretch is key. But remember, leggings are not pants. Your belly may be comfy in leggings, but your ass hanging out isn’t a good look. Opt for a tunic, a long cardigan, or something that covers the booty. Or opt for stretchy riding pants or ponte pants. We’re loving Spanx leggings. They’ve got tummy control and are the most flattering leggings out there.
2. Long Tunics & Sweaters. These garments tend to be very forgiving and will go great with your leggings or riding pants. Plus they’re comfy and cozy. Add some sparkly earrings to attract attention to your fabulous face and chow down. We found a high-low tunic by Bar III at Macy’s for under $20.00. It literally goes with everything!
3. Sweater Dresses. No one wants itchy tights, tight fabrics, and sky-high heels for an all-day holiday that’s supposed to be relaxing. A sweater dress looks casual yet dressed up and will show your figure without looking like your prego (unless you are preggers). Wear over leggings and add boots to tie the look together without compromising comfort. Check out this dress from Old Navy for under $40.
4. Flannel. In you’re planning on wearing jeans pair with a flannel shirt. Red flannel screams America. Just make sure your shirt isn’t too form fitting. Over sized is much more chic. Roll the sleeves and add an arm party (writing this is getting me excited for tomorrow’s outfit options!!). Forever 21’s plaid is cheap yet chic.
